our mission

The mission of Trinity Christian Center is to be a place Where Love Welcomes all.

The scripture declares “…God is love…” (1 John 4:16). Therefore, it’s important people feel God’s love as they walk through the doors of our church and when they attend any event sponsored by TCC. The Love of God is demonstrated by us…

Loving

Loving God first
(Mark 12:30)
Loving one another
(John 13:34, 1 John 4:21)
Loving our neighbors
(Mark 12:31)

Serving

By serving The Lord
(Romans 12:11)
By serving each other
(1 Peter 4:10)
By serving our community
(Matthew 5:16)

Giving

By giving to the work of the Lord
(1 Corinthians 16:1-2)
By giving to each other
(Acts 4:32)
By giving generously
(2 Corinthians 9:6-8)

Trinity Christian Center is a multi-cultural, multi-generational community of believers who desire to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ. TCC exists to assist people in fulfilling God’s purpose for their lives.

statement of beliefs

What We Believe

WE BELIEVE… The Scriptures Inspired The Scriptures, both the Old and New Testament, are verbally inspired of God and are the revelation of God to man, the infallible, authoritative rule of faith and conduct.

WE BELIEVE… in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ. As God’s son Jesus was both human and divine.

WE BELIEVE… there is only one true God–revealed in three persons…Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (commonly known as the Trinity).

WE BELIEVE… though originally good, man willingly fell to sin – ushering evil and death, both physical and spiritual, into the world.

WE BELIEVE… and practice two ordinances—(1) water baptism by immersion after repenting of one’s sins and receiving Christ’s gift of salvation, and (2) communion (the Lord’s Supper) as a symbolic remembrance of Christ’s suffering and death for our salvation.

WE BELIEVE… every person can have restored fellowship with God by trusting Christ, through faith and repentance, to be their personal Savior.

WE BELIEVE… the baptism in the Holy Spirit is a special experience following salvation that empowers believers for witnessing and effective service, just as it did in New Testament times.

WE BELIEVE… the Church has a mission to seek and save all who are lost in sin. We believe ‘the Church’ is the Body of Christ and consists of the people who, throughout time, have accepted God’s offer of redemption through the sacrificial death of His son Jesus Christ.

WE BELIEVE… divine healing of the sick is a privilege for Christians today and is provided for because of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

WE BELIEVE… in The Blessed Hope – when Jesus returns for His Church. At this future moment in time, all believers who are alive will be caught up in the air to be with the Lord forever.

WE BELIEVE… a final judgment will take place for those who have rejected Christ. They will be judged for their sin and consigned to eternal punishment in a literal hell that the Bible calls The Lake of Fire.

WE BELIEVE… and look forward to the perfect New Heavens and a New Earth that Christ is preparing for all people, of all time, who have accepted Him. We will live and dwell with Him there forever. ‘And so shall we forever be with the Lord!’

Our Pastors

Pastor Tyrone McDonald

Pastor Tyrone McDonald

Pastor Tyrone and Cassandra McDonald were both born and raised in New York City. At the age of 18, while visiting a friend in Bible School, the Lord revealed Himself to Tyrone and he gave his heart to Jesus Christ. Tyrone later went on to become a New York City Police Officer for several years. While serving in various ministries at his home church, The Brooklyn Tabernacle, Pastor Jim Cymbala and the leadership there felt God had more for him to do. He joined the staff of The Brooklyn Tabernacle and served for eight years as an Associate Pastor. In April 2008, the McDonald family felt God leading them to Elizabeth, New Jersey to pastor Trinity Christian Center. Since then, Pastor Tyrone has been connecting with people and encouraging believers to live out their faith. Cassandra sings in the TCC Worship team and is a powerful intercessor for anyone in need of prayer. Leading the people at TCC has been their biggest privilege and labor of love, as God continues to impact and transform lives.

Pastor Adriane Florence

Associate Pastor Adrian Florence

Pastor Adrian and Nancy Florence were both born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. Adrian started attending church with his mom at the age of 5 years old and began to establish his own relationship with Jesus as a teenager. He served in a number of ministries including Youth Choir, Ushers and Security throughout the years at Brooklyn Tabernacle where Pastor Adrian and Nancy met as youth and eventually got married. The Florence family joined TCC in 2009 and have been faithfully serving in a number of ministries since that time.

Pastor Maurice Harold

Associate Pastor Maurice Harold

Pastor Maurice and Bernadette Harold were both born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. Maurice attended church his entire life but it wasn’t until he was fifteen years old that he gave his heart to Christ. It was at an old fashion tent meeting where he was introduced to Jesus Christ as his Savior. After giving his life to Christ, Maurice learned to play the drums and would go on to become a church musician. He regularly played for several churches throughout Brooklyn, NY. It was during that time where his calling to the ministry was first evident, as he was asked to speak at youth events at the church he attended. Although he enjoyed being a church musician, challenges in life caused him to turn away from God and return to the streets. Because of God’s faithfulness and steadfast love, he re-dedicated his life to Christ at a youth meeting at The Brooklyn Tabernacle. His life has never been the same. During his time at Brooklyn Tabernacle, he quickly realized that his faith in God is more than just believing in Jesus Christ. It is a truly intimate relationship with the Lord. He and Bernadette are the parents of three beautiful children.
